Chanthingla Horam has an educational background in environmental science and has worked with Integrated Mountain Initiatives (an NGO working on sustainable mountain issues).

Her interest areas are Environment, Development Climate Change and its socio-economic components.
Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Climate studies from IIT Bombay.
